Free food allergy cards for restaurants and travel

Create a clear food allergy card to show restaurant staff before you order. Choose the allergen you need to avoid, select the language that fits your trip, and preview the card before downloading a printable PDF. The card builder currently supports 12 languages and can include the foods you avoid, a severity warning, and an emergency contact.

1. Choose your allergen

Select a common allergen or enter a custom one so the card matches your needs.

2. Choose a language

Make the warning easier for restaurant staff to read at home or abroad.

3. Preview and download

Check the wording, then show the digital card or print the PDF for your wallet.

What an allergy card can and cannot do

A written card helps make your allergy, restricted foods, and request for careful preparation easier to understand. It is a communication aid, not a guarantee that a meal is free from an allergen. Always tell your server about your allergy and confirm ingredients, preparation, and cross-contact with the restaurant team. Follow the emergency plan provided by your healthcare professional.

Once you have your card, you can also learn about the free allergy menu scanner in the Food Allergy Options iPhone app, or read our guide on using food allergy cards when eating out.
