Yes, free for life. The website and iPhone app will always be free for essential allergy safety tools: unlimited digital allergy cards, PDF downloads, menu scanning, restaurant ratings, and the mobile app. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. We may add optional extras someday, but core card creation and community features will never be paywalled.

How does menu scanning work in the iPhone app?

Open the Food Allergy Options app and scan a restaurant menu with your camera. Based on your saved allergy profile, we show which dishes likely contain your allergens, which you can likely substitute, and which are likely safe. Results are guidance to help you decide. Always confirm ingredients and preparation with restaurant staff before ordering.
